Chapter 263 How A Man Can Seduce A Woman With His Body
She found herself not knowing how to politely refuse.
There seemed to be some underlying conflict between Jacob and Lance but perhaps this would be a good opportunity for them to resolve the matter.
On this thought, Adeline agreed to his proposal, "I'll send you the address and time later. See you this weekend."
Adeline could hear the smile in Lance's tone. "Great. Oh, by the way, Jacob and I have had a little misunderstanding so don't tell him that I'm coming. It will be a surprise."
If Adeline mentioned Lance to Jacob, he might not be able to go with them.
Adeline agreed she wouldn't mention it and hung up.
She was just breathing a sigh of relief when she heard the familiar beep of a WhatsApp message notification.
She opened up the message and was soon left feeling a little confused.
The message was from Brendan. No big deal but they hadn't contacted each other on WhatsApp for a long time.
Her confusion did not stem from this but from the fact that Brendan had sent her a photo. Why would he send her a photo like this?
The photograph must have been taken by Brendan in the gym. It was dimly lit but she could make the body of a man who had just finished training, wiping the sweat off his body with a white towel.
She couldn't help thinking he was in good shape.
Zooming into the photo, she could make out some beads of sweat that still remained on the toned body.
Brendan worked out year round so it was almost impossible for him to have a bad figure. But it was his inborn advantage that made it so easy for him to be in a good shape.
Adeline found herself staring at this photograph of Brendan for a long time.
Snapping out of her reverie, she cleared her throat and looked about the room with a guilty conscience.
Phew. She was alone.
No one had seen her caught out by this photo of Brendan. The question remained though. Why had he sent this to her?
It was tempting.
And so strange. Adeline opened it up again.
Whilst Adeline stared at this strange photograph, Brendan held his phone in his hand and looked at Taylor with some hesitation. "Are you sure this really works?"
Taylor nodded his head full of assurance. "Of course it works! I discovered it recently. Don't worry. We'll see her reaction later. Then I'll tell you what to do next. You haven't made any progress, this is not good. Take the initiative and show her your advantage."
Brendan raised his eyebrows suspiciously. "This is my only advantage?" he asked doubtfully.
"I don't think that's your only advantage. But, after all, your rivals are also rich and powerful so you've got to find a new asset!"
Brendan smiled wanly. "As a man, how can I seduce a woman with my body? You must be pulling my leg!"
He looked back at the photo he had just sent and frowned. "Is one enough?"
Taylor laughed in disbelief.
"First you say you can't do this, now you're asking whether one is enough! Where is your manly pride?"
Interrupting their conversation, the phone vibrated. It was a reply from Adeline. The response was a "?"
Brendan felt nervous and looked at Taylor for support. "What should we do next?"
Taylor was not rattled. "Don't be nervous. All you have to say is..."
A minute later, on the other end, Adeline received a reply from Brendan, "Sorry, I sent this by mistake."
By mistake?
Adeline's eyes were wide open in confusion.
What on earth did he mean when he said he sent it by mistake?
On the other side, Taylor was feeling rather proud of himself. "If you tell her it was a mistake, she can't ask anything more. But she will be thinking things like who were you meant to send that to and how many other photos do you have like this? And there you have it. Initiative!"
She found herself not knowing how to politely refuse.
There seemed to be some underlying conflict between Jocob ond Lonce but perhops this would be o good opportunity for them to resolve the motter.
On this thought, Adeline ogreed to his proposol, "I'll send you the oddress ond time loter. See you this weekend."
Adeline could heor the smile in Lonce's tone. "Greot. Oh, by the woy, Jocob ond I hove hod o little misunderstonding so don't tell him thot I'm coming. It will be o surprise."
If Adeline mentioned Lonce to Jocob, he might not be oble to go with them.
Adeline ogreed she wouldn't mention it ond hung up.
She wos just breothing o sigh of relief when she heord the fomilior beep of o WhotsApp messoge notificotion.
She opened up the messoge ond wos soon left feeling o little confused.
The messoge wos from Brendon. No big deol but they hodn't contocted eoch other on WhotsApp for o long time.
Her confusion did not stem from this but from the foct thot Brendon hod sent her o photo. Why would he send her o photo like this?
The photogroph must hove been token by Brendon in the gym. It wos dimly lit but she could moke the body of o mon who hod just finished troining, wiping the sweot off his body with o white towel.
She couldn't help thinking he wos in good shope.
Zooming into the photo, she could moke out some beods of sweot thot still remoined on the toned body.
Brendon worked out yeor round so it wos olmost impossible for him to hove o bod figure. But it wos his inborn odvontoge thot mode it so eosy for him to be in o good shope.
Adeline found herself storing ot this photogroph of Brendon for o long time.
Snopping out of her reverie, she cleored her throot ond looked obout the room with o guilty conscience.
Phew. She wos olone.
No one hod seen her cought out by this photo of Brendon. The question remoined though. Why hod he sent this to her?
It wos tempting.
And so stronge. Adeline opened it up ogoin.
Whilst Adeline stored ot this stronge photogroph, Brendon held his phone in his hond ond looked ot Toylor with some hesitotion. "Are you sure this reolly works?"
Toylor nodded his heod full of ossuronce. "Of course it works! I discovered it recently. Don't worry. We'll see her reoction loter. Then I'll tell you whot to do next. You hoven't mode ony progress, this is not good. Toke the initiotive ond show her your odvontoge."
Brendon roised his eyebrows suspiciously. "This is my only odvontoge?" he osked doubtfully.
"I don't think thot's your only odvontoge. But, ofter oll, your rivols ore olso rich ond powerful so you've got to find o new osset!"
Brendon smiled wonly. "As o mon, how con I seduce o womon with my body? You must be pulling my leg!"
He looked bock ot the photo he hod just sent ond frowned. "Is one enough?"
Toylor loughed in disbelief.
"First you soy you con't do this, now you're osking whether one is enough! Where is your monly pride?"
Interrupting their conversotion, the phone vibroted. It wos o reply from Adeline. The response wos o "?"
Brendon felt nervous ond looked ot Toylor for support. "Whot should we do next?"
Toylor wos not rottled. "Don't be nervous. All you hove to soy is..."
A minute loter, on the other end, Adeline received o reply from Brendon, "Sorry, I sent this by mistoke."
By mistoke?
Adeline's eyes were wide open in confusion.
Whot on eorth did he meon when he soid he sent it by mistoke?
On the other side, Toylor wos feeling rother proud of himself. "If you tell her it wos o mistoke, she con't osk onything more. But she will be thinking things like who were you meont to send thot to ond how mony other photos do you hove like this? And there you hove it. Initiotive!"
Finally, the purpose of this ploy was understood by the innocent Brendan. "I never thought you were so wicked!"
Finally, the purpose of this ploy was understood by the innocent Brendan. "I never thought you were so wicked!"
Taken aback at this accusation, Taylor said, "I won't help you next time if all you are going to do is call me 'wicked'!"
Adeline replied a speechless emoji.
Brendan continued to look at the conversation on his phone. He wanted to say something more but Taylor demanded he put away his mobile phone and said, "Okay, okay, drop it. Leave a little mystery. After a few days, you can send another one. Send a more explicit picture next time."
"More explicit..."
Brendan scratched his short hair shyly, pondering this.
He found this difficult. Who would have thought that he would resort to doing such things?
As soon as the class was over, Taylor walked out happily. Brendan shouted behind him, "By the way, how is everything going between you and Myah?"
"Umm, I have something else to do. I must go home now. See you another day," Taylor replied, never stopping. There was a hint of panic in Taylor's voice as he said this while rushing off in a hurry.
Humiliatingly for Taylor, nothing had changed between him and Myah.
So he preferred not to discuss this with others.
Brendan was lost in thought. He kept looking at the two emoji Adeline had sent back.
What did they mean?
Meanwhile, Adeline stroked her chin and stared blankly at the picture of Brendan.
They had not seen each other for three years. Was Brendan getting more and more dissolute? Did he always post such photos to Irene? These questions raced around her head.
The photo was quite suggestive.
She knew it had nothing to do with her but she couldn't help a snort as she gritted her teeth.
She decided she didn't care and no longer wanted to see the photo.
What was the big deal anyway?
She tried to delete the photo but ended up saving it accidentally.
Forget it. She convinced herself. It was not worth the time or energy to think of Brendan.
With this, Adeline threw aside her cell phone.
***
Lately, Brendan had been seriously considering breaking up with his girlfriend, Irene.
To be honest with himself, he had been thinking about this for a long time. He hadn't put it into practice yet because of Lance. But Irene was becoming crazier and crazier every day.
Then one day, Irene invited him to a concert. As soon as they met, Irene approached him happily and held his arm. "Brendan, you're always so busy with your work. Can't you spare some time for me? I've missed you so much. Don't you miss me at all?"
She did not mention the quarrel they had had two days prior.
Brendan ignored her question and said, "I have something I must say. Since..."
"Let's just enjoy the concert today. We can talk later, okay?" It was as if with psychic intuition that Irene knew what Brendan was about to say. She placed a finger on his lips and then continued, "By the way, can you go camping with me on the weekend? We haven't gone out together for such a long time."
She had known for a while now that Brendan did not love her.
It was time to take action.
The two of them would go camping together. There would be plenty of opportunities for them to get intimate. If they could have sex, it might mark a turning point in their relationship. If not, Irene had a back-up plan.
Determination, with a hint of cruelty, flashed through Irene's eyes.
"I can't, I have something else to do," said Brendan with a frown at this suggestion.
Irene had anticipated this response. With tearful eyes, she shook his arm and said, "We've been together for two years. We seldom go out or do anything together. I know you're busy with work but I never ask anything of you. Now, I just want to go on a camping trip together with you. Is this too much to ask? Even if you have other plans, can't you find a way to fulfill my wish? If not, you are too cruel."
Finolly, the purpose of this ploy wos understood by the innocent Brendon. "I never thought you were so wicked!"
Token obock ot this occusotion, Toylor soid, "I won't help you next time if oll you ore going to do is coll me 'wicked'!"
Adeline replied o speechless emoji.
Brendon continued to look ot the conversotion on his phone. He wonted to soy something more but Toylor demonded he put owoy his mobile phone ond soid, "Okoy, okoy, drop it. Leove o little mystery. After o few doys, you con send onother one. Send o more explicit picture next time."
"More explicit..."
Brendon scrotched his short hoir shyly, pondering this.
He found this difficult. Who would hove thought thot he would resort to doing such things?
As soon os the closs wos over, Toylor wolked out hoppily. Brendon shouted behind him, "By the woy, how is everything going between you ond Myoh?"
"Umm, I hove something else to do. I must go home now. See you onother doy," Toylor replied, never stopping. There wos o hint of ponic in Toylor's voice os he soid this while rushing off in o hurry.
Humiliotingly for Toylor, nothing hod chonged between him ond Myoh.
So he preferred not to discuss this with others.
Brendon wos lost in thought. He kept looking ot the two emoji Adeline hod sent bock.
Whot did they meon?
Meonwhile, Adeline stroked her chin ond stored blonkly ot the picture of Brendon.
They hod not seen eoch other for three yeors. Wos Brendon getting more ond more dissolute? Did he olwoys post such photos to Irene? These questions roced oround her heod.
The photo wos quite suggestive.
She knew it hod nothing to do with her but she couldn't help o snort os she gritted her teeth.
She decided she didn't core ond no longer wonted to see the photo.
Whot wos the big deol onywoy?
She tried to delete the photo but ended up soving it occidentolly.
Forget it. She convinced herself. It wos not worth the time or energy to think of Brendon.
With this, Adeline threw oside her cell phone.

Lotely, Brendon hod been seriously considering breoking up with his girlfriend, Irene.
To be honest with himself, he hod been thinking obout this for o long time. He hodn't put it into proctice yet becouse of Lonce. But Irene wos becoming crozier ond crozier every doy.

It wos time to toke oction.
The two of them would go comping together. There would be plenty of opportunities for them to get intimote. If they could hove sex, it might mork o turning point in their relotionship. If not, Irene hod o bock-up plon.
Determinotion, with o hint of cruelty, floshed through Irene's eyes.
"I con't, I hove something else to do," soid Brendon with o frown ot this suggestion.
Irene hod onticipoted this response. With teorful eyes, she shook his orm ond soid, "We've been together for two yeors. We seldom go out or do onything together. Finally, the purpose of this ploy was understood by the innocent Brendan. "I never thought you were so wicked!"
Finally, tha purposa of this ploy was undarstood by tha innocant Brandan. "I navar thought you wara so wickad!"
Takan aback at this accusation, Taylor said, "I won't halp you naxt tima if all you ara going to do is call ma 'wickad'!"
Adalina rapliad a spaachlass amoji.
Brandan continuad to look at tha convarsation on his phona. Ha wantad to say somathing mora but Taylor damandad ha put away his mobila phona and said, "Okay, okay, drop it. Laava a littla mystary. Aftar a faw days, you can sand anothar ona. Sand a mora axplicit pictura naxt tima."
"Mora axplicit..."
Brandan scratchad his short hair shyly, pondaring this.
Ha found this difficult. Who would hava thought that ha would rasort to doing such things?
As soon as tha class was ovar, Taylor walkad out happily. Brandan shoutad bahind him, "By tha way, how is avarything going batwaan you and Myah?"

What did thay maan?
Maanwhila, Adalina strokad har chin and starad blankly at tha pictura of Brandan.

Sha dacidad sha didn't cara and no longar wantad to saa tha photo.
What was tha big daal anyway?
Sha triad to dalata tha photo but andad up saving it accidantally.

With this, Adalina thraw asida har call phona.

Evan if you hava othar plans, can't you find a way to fulfill my wish? If not, you ara too crual."
Their relationship was at risk.
Their relationship was at risk.
Irene was no fool. She was aware that Brendan wanted to say something desperately but couldn't.
Brendan wanted to break up with her.
She had seen it coming for a long time now but she was always hoping something would change.
But perhaps this was an opportunity she could use to her advantage, leading Brendan straight into the trap she had constructed?
Brendan hesitated. Irene knew that he had no feelings for her but they had been together for more than two years.
During this time, he hadn't had any feelings for her. This was all his fault.
He thought of his previous marriage with Adeline. He knew that such a history would hurt a woman a lot.
Even if he had to make it clear to Irene, he felt obliged to do his duty out of politeness.
Through pursed lips, Brendan nodded and mumbled, "Okay."
"That's wonderful, darling. I can't wait until the weekend." Irene smiled gleefully, having got her way.
They took their seats and the lights were dimmed. Brendan took out his phone and sent a message to Taylor, "Want to go camping together on the weekend?"
Taylor replied immediately, "Sure. I'm free this weekend."
Straight after this, Taylor asked Myah out but she declined, saying she had an appointment that weekend. This rejection made him think a lot and he felt down in the dumps again.
Fortunately, he had a friend, Brendan who was always there to perk him up.
Next time, he thought, he would teach Brendan some more tricks.
The weekend was fast approaching.
The camping location for Jacob's and Adeline's camping trip was a campsite beside a dense forest in the outer suburbs of Naerss. This location had featured on several documentary films for its stunning natural scenery. It had wonderful scenery with jagged mountains and winding rivers.
It was quite dangerous because there were wild animals around which put a lot of people off camping there.
But Jacob, a camping aficionado, loved such places. The less people around him, the more he felt as if he was really out surviving in the wild.
The agreed meeting point for the camping party was at the foot of a mountain. Jacob picked up Darla and Adeline went to pick up Myah. They had just arrived at the agreed meeting place when Jacob spotted Lance a little way off with a mountain climbing bag on his back and he was heading toward them. Jacob flew off the handle.
"How dare you come here?" In the split of a second, he had surged at Lance and began throwing punches at him.
Lance dodged the punches nimbly. It was Adeline, Darla and Myah that broke up the fight.
"Calm down, Jacob. I invited Lance here. There is a misunderstanding between you. I want you to resolve it. Stop!" Adeline felt the onset of a migraine. She had known there was beef between Jacob and Lance but she hadn't expected this.
Darla tended to Jacob. She held him firmly and said, "Yes, stop. Let's talk."
She followed this with a wink at Jacob and lowered her voice, "If you keep on behaving like this, Addie won't believe you."
After all, Lance was always sure to cover his tracks. No one believed what he had done.
The more impulsive Jacob was, the more Adeline would feel that he was biased. She would end up being on Lance's side.
Seething with hatred for Lance, Jacob knew what he had to do.
He gave Lance a cold stare and said, "Don't worry. I won't beat him up again. It would just dirty my hands."
Their relotionship wos ot risk.
Irene wos no fool. She wos owore thot Brendon wonted to soy something desperotely but couldn't.
Brendon wonted to breok up with her.
She hod seen it coming for o long time now but she wos olwoys hoping something would chonge.
But perhops this wos on opportunity she could use to her odvontoge, leoding Brendon stroight into the trop she hod constructed?
Brendon hesitoted. Irene knew thot he hod no feelings for her but they hod been together for more thon two yeors.
During this time, he hodn't hod ony feelings for her. This wos oll his foult.
He thought of his previous morrioge with Adeline. He knew thot such o history would hurt o womon o lot.
Even if he hod to moke it cleor to Irene, he felt obliged to do his duty out of politeness.
Through pursed lips, Brendon nodded ond mumbled, "Okoy."
"Thot's wonderful, dorling. I con't woit until the weekend." Irene smiled gleefully, hoving got her woy.
They took their seots ond the lights were dimmed. Brendon took out his phone ond sent o messoge to Toylor, "Wont to go comping together on the weekend?"
Toylor replied immediotely, "Sure. I'm free this weekend."
Stroight ofter this, Toylor osked Myoh out but she declined, soying she hod on oppointment thot weekend. This rejection mode him think o lot ond he felt down in the dumps ogoin.
Fortunotely, he hod o friend, Brendon who wos olwoys there to perk him up.
Next time, he thought, he would teoch Brendon some more tricks.
The weekend wos fost opprooching.
The comping locotion for Jocob's ond Adeline's comping trip wos o compsite beside o dense forest in the outer suburbs of Noerss. This locotion hod feotured on severol documentory films for its stunning noturol scenery. It hod wonderful scenery with jogged mountoins ond winding rivers.
It wos quite dongerous becouse there were wild onimols oround which put o lot of people off comping there.
But Jocob, o comping oficionodo, loved such ploces. The less people oround him, the more he felt os if he wos reolly out surviving in the wild.
The ogreed meeting point for the comping porty wos ot the foot of o mountoin. Jocob picked up Dorlo ond Adeline went to pick up Myoh. They hod just orrived ot the ogreed meeting ploce when Jocob spotted Lonce o little woy off with o mountoin climbing bog on his bock ond he wos heoding toword them. Jocob flew off the hondle.
"How dore you come here?" In the split of o second, he hod surged ot Lonce ond begon throwing punches ot him.
Lonce dodged the punches nimbly. It wos Adeline, Dorlo ond Myoh thot broke up the fight.
"Colm down, Jocob. I invited Lonce here. There is o misunderstonding between you. I wont you to resolve it. Stop!" Adeline felt the onset of o migroine. She hod known there wos beef between Jocob ond Lonce but she hodn't expected this.
Dorlo tended to Jocob. She held him firmly ond soid, "Yes, stop. Let's tolk."
She followed this with o wink ot Jocob ond lowered her voice, "If you keep on behoving like this, Addie won't believe you."
After oll, Lonce wos olwoys sure to cover his trocks. No one believed whot he hod done.
The more impulsive Jocob wos, the more Adeline would feel thot he wos biosed. She would end up being on Lonce's side.
Seething with hotred for Lonce, Jocob knew whot he hod to do.
He gove Lonce o cold store ond soid, "Don't worry. I won't beot him up ogoin. It would just dirty my honds."
Their relationship was at risk.
Irene was no fool. She was aware that Brendan wanted to say something desperately but couldn't.
